Rev. Dr. Pamela Fox, PhD, M.Div., LCSW-S

Rev. Dr. Pamela Fox is a licensed clinical social worker and a Board Approved Social Work Supervisor in the State of Texas. She was the Principal Investigator of the research study, entitled “Diabetes, Depression and Syndemic Suffering among African American Patients: The Intersectionality of Race, Gender, and Class”.  Dr. Fox is currently an Assistant Professor in Practice at The University of Texas at Arlington - School of Social Work in Arlington, TX, where she teaches “Brain and Behavior”, “Social Work Supervision”, “Stress, Crisis and Coping”, “Direct Practice in Mental Health”, “Treatment of Addictive Behaviors”, and “Seminar in Family Therapy”.  She is also the Clinical Director of Foxfire Outreach Ministries and the Synergy Counseling & Coaching Center, in Arlington, TX.

Rev. Dr. Fox is tri-vocational, as a clinical social work practitioner, educator and researcher; as an Ordained Minister (Retired) in the United Church of Christ; and as a Commander (Retired) in the U.S. Navy Reserves, serving in the Medical Service Corps, as a Navy Social Worker.
From 2010 to 2017, Rev. Dr. Fox was the Behavioral Health Depression Care Manager in the Health Texas Provider Network’s Family Health Center, located in the Baylor Scott & White Health and Wellness Center in Dallas, TX.  At this Health and Wellness Center, Rev. Dr. Fox has provided and continues to provide relevant training to Community Health Workers, on the topics of “Informal Counseling” “Motivational Interviewing” and “Mandatory Reporting”.


Rev. Dr. Pamela Fox received her PhD in Social Work Research from The University of Texas at Arlington – School of Social Work in Arlington, TX, her Master’s Degree in Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, IL, her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from The University of Chicago – School of Social Service Administration in Chicago, IL, and her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN.

Rev. Dr. Fox is a wife, mother and grandmother and enjoys her best life with her delightful family and friends.
